It was uncanny. The quality was SO GOOD, I could tell he was wearing his lime-green pyjamas and Sponge-Bob carpet slippers. What new marvels will the digital world visit upon us next? Eh?

sz

Re: I’m Skyping

Skype is kool.
Just had a 12.000 Km "phonecall" with a friend in Belgium, and it was as if he was standing right next to me. Crystal clear signal...

And I'm simply using my PowerBook's built-in microphone (of which I have absolutely no idea where it's actually located -- so I just talk to my screen), and my iPod's buds.

One important remark though... most Skypers don't seem to realise that, if you use its VoIP capability, the program uses all of your available bandwidth (both up and down)... Which is kinda tricky for people like me whom have limited bandwidth quota per month. So I use Skype mostly for its IM and P2P functions.
